Craig Robbins
Craig joined Moffitt Associates in late 1999 after a successful career in manufacturing and consulting during which time he received extensive training from Shingijutsu and Moffitt Associates consultants thus giving him a background completely compatible with Moffitt Associates consulting philosophy.
He served a Vice President of Continuous Improvement at Herman Miller, Inc, a large well-known manufacturer of office furniture. During his work in leading the lean journey at Herman Miller Craig worked for 2 years, with Bob Pentland as his mentor and principle consultant.
Prior to his Herman Miller assignment Craig served as a senior management consultant with TBM Consulting, a well-known American lean consulting firm. While at TBM Craig conducted nearly 100 Kaizen workshops at various US companies undergoing lean transformations.
Craig served as Vice President, Continuous Improvement at the Donnelly Corporation a large automotive supplier serving virtually all major automobile manufacturers both domestically and overseas and an early lean conversion in the 1990's. During this period he collaborated with Shingijutsu consultants in more than 15 major factory workshops where he developed a close relationships with these world renown lean consultants. In addition, like all Moffitt consultants, he has made several early study missions to Japan for further training in the Toyota Production System.
Craig's early career was spent with the Prince Corporation where he first began his personal lean journey in 1984. His seven year association with Prince led to the position of Director of Manufacturing.
He hold's a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Western Michigan University and operates his consulting practice from his office in Clearwater where he lives with his wife Barb.
